2023 Advocacy

The purpose of Advocacy Day is to ensure our NY State Senators and Assemblymembers hear directly from us. They need to know our value of Neighborhood Preservation Companies (NPCs) and that we faithfully serve our neighborhoods all throughout the State.

Funding for the Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) is NOT guaranteed. EVERY year, our funding amount is determined through the New York State budget. Since 2015, our funding has been virtually flat. While at the same time, the cumulative rate of inflation is 25.7%.

For emails to representatives, copy the text in the file, and paste it in the body of your email. Then personalize the words in red, accordingly.

Call to Action for the Assembly

Thank your Assemblymember(s) for increasing funding the Neighborhood Preservation Program to $16.3 M; and funding the Neighborhood Preservation Coalition at $250,000 in their one house budget bill;

And ask them to hold firm during final negotiations with the Executive Branch on this funding.

Call to Action for the Senate

Thank your State Senator(s) for funding the Neighborhood Preservation Program at $17.8 M;

And ask them to hold firm during final negotiations with the Executive Branch and the Assembly on this funding level.

Unfortunately, in the Senate one house budget bill, the carve-out for the Neighborhood Preservation Coalition was reduced.  Ask your Senator(s) to restore the Coalition funding level to $250,000, the same as was in last year’s budget.
