Brownfields Economic Development Initiative (BEDI)Provides funds and loan guarantees to clean up and redevelop environmentally contaminated industrial and commercial sites, commonly known as “brownfields.”

Certified Local Government Program (CLG) – Funds to support local preservation activities.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program – Grants to eligible cities, towns, and villages with a population under 50,000 and counties with an area population under 200,000 to revitalize neighborhoods, expand affordable housing and economic opportunities and/or improve community facilities and services.

Economic Development Initiative (EDI)Provides grants to local governments to enhance both the security of loans guaranteed through the Economic Development Loan Fund and the feasibility of the large economic development and revitalization projects they finance.

Mitchell-Lama Housing Program – Limitations on profits, income limits on tenants and DHCR supervision in exchange for low-interest mortgage loans and real property tax exemptions on housing built for middle-income residents.

Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program – Federally guaranteed loans through states and local governments that receive CDBG funding to help fuel large economic development projects and other revitalization activities.

Statewide Section 8 Program – Tenant based housing assistance in the form of vouchers and certificates to eligible low-income families living in New York State.

Subsidy Services Program – Tenant based housing assistance in the form of vouchers and certificates to eligible low-income families living in New York City.
