The 80/20 Program – Financing program that requires multifamily housing projects financed with tax-exempt bonds to have a proportion of 80% market-rate rents and 20% rents for low-income households.

Achieving the Dream Program – Very low fixed interest mortgages for low-income first-time homebuyers.

Adirondack North Country Community Enhancement Program (ANCCEP) – Funding to improve the appearance of municipalities and to pursue rural community development/enhancement projects in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Warren, and Washington Counties and the Adirondack Park in Saratoga, Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Oneida, Lewis, and Fulton counties.

Affordable Home Ownership Development ProgramThe program offers grants and loans for the construction, acquisition, rehabilitation and improvement of owner-occupied housing.

Affordable Housing Program (AHP)The purpose of the AHP is to subsidize the interest rates for advances (loans) and to provide direct subsidies for long-term, very low-, and low- and moderate-income, owner-occupied and affordable rental housing.

All Affordable Program – Financing program to encourage the production of newly constructed or rehabilitated multifamily units affordable to families earning less than 60% of the AMI.

CICA Programs for Economic Development – The Community Investment Cash Advances (CICA) programs provide funding to finance targeted economic development projects directly (loan originations and purchases) or indirectly (purchasing eligible mortgage-backed securities, mortgage-revenue bonds and low-income housing tax credits or lending to other lenders for eligible purposes).

Construction Incentive Program – Low interest loans for the construction of one- and two-family homes.

Community Investment Program (CIP) – Lending program at discounted interest rates to fund purchases, construction, rehabilitation, rehabilitation or predevelopment financing of owner-occupied housing, rental housing, or manufactured housing parks for low-income families.

Emergency Shelter Grants Program (ESGP)To improve the quality and quantity of emergency shelters for the homeless, help meet shelter operating costs, provide social services to homeless persons and provide homeless prevention services.

Homeless Housing Assistance Program (HHAP)Under HHAP, grants and loans are provided to acquire, construct and rehabilitate housing for persons who are or would otherwise be homeless.

Homelessness Intervention Program (HIP) – Services to people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

HOME (Home Investment Partnership Program) The program provides funds to acquire, rehabilitate, or construct housing, or to provide assistance to low-income homebuyers and renters.

Homes for Working Families Program (HWF) – HWF provides tax-exempt bond financing for substantial rehabilitation or new construction of affordable rental housing.

House New York Program – Technical and financial assistance to produce an inventory of shovel-ready and hammer-ready sites that can be used for local community development efforts to increase housing production.

Housing Development Fund (HDF)The Housing Development Fund (HDF) is a revolving loan fund that provides loans to nonprofit organizations to develop low-income housing projects.

Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) – To develop long-term comprehensive strategies to meet the housing and service needs of low-income persons with AIDS and HIV-related disease.

Housing Trust Fund (HTF)The Housing Trust Fund (HTF) provides funding for low-income housing development and rehabilitation, housing conversion, and seed funding for developing a full HTF application.

Legislative Member Item Program (MIP)– Funds awarded to recipients selected by the New York State Legislature to be used for activities to promote low and moderate income housing, preserve neighborhoods, and improve the quality of neighborhood life.

Low Income Housing Credit Program (LIHC) and State Low-Income Housing Credit Program (SLIHC)The Credit promotes private sector involvement in the retention and production of rental housing for low-income households.

Low Interest Rate Mortgage Program – Low downpayment mortgage financing for first-time homebuyers.

Manufactured Homes Park Program – Evaluation of complaints, mediation, and enforcement of Section 233 of the Real Property Law to restrain violations by manufactured home park owners.

Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP)Preservation Program grants are administrative funds that allow Companies to perform a number of housing and community renewal activities.

Operational Support for AIDS Housing (OSAH) – Operational support to projects that have received capital financing through HHAP to house homeless persons with HIV/AIDS and their families.

Remodel New York Program – Low interest rate financing to qualified first-time homebuyers for the purchase and renovation of properties in need of improvements and renovations.

RESTORE (Emergency Home Repair Program for the Elderly)RESTORE funds may be used to pay for the cost of emergency repairs to eliminate hazardous conditions in homes owned by the elderly when the homeowners cannot afford to make the repairs in a timely fashion.

Rural Preservation Program (RPP) – Administrative funds that allow nonprofit community-based housing corporations in rural areas to perform housing and community renewal activities.

Rural Rental Assistance Program (RRAP) – Provides direct rent subsidies for low-income elderly and family tenants residing in multifamily housing projects in rural areas of New York State.

Senior Housing Financing Program – Construction and permanent mortgage loan financing for assisted living, senior rental housing, and state licensed senior housing.

Senior Housing Initiative (SHI) – SHI provides tax-exempt bond financing for substantial rehabilitation or new construction of rental housing for the elderly, persons 55 years of age or older.

SONYMA Mortgage Insurance Fund Credit EnhancementProvides permanent mortgage loan financing for multi-family rental properties.

SRO Support Services ProgramProvides grants for the provision of support services to low-income tenants in Single Room Occupancy housing operated by nonprofits.

Supported Housing for Families and Young Adults Program (SHFYA) – Funds for services and expenses for supportive housing programs for families and young adults age 18 to 25, who are eligible for TANF.

Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)Provides energy services and financial assistance to income-eligible individuals and families to improve the heating efficiency of their dwellings and to reduce their housing expenditures for fuel.
